A joy that will be missed

I seem to be a bit behind the news, as usual. I've just been catching up on few favourite blogs and just learnt from Maggie Alderson's that she will no longer have a column in The Age on a Saturday. I will miss her weekend hit of wit, humour and passion.
Read the beautiful post she has written about the demise of the column and the reaction of her readers here.

Racing

The Sarah Conners Team flew the coop on Thursday and headed for the race track. We spent a gorgeous day with Deborah from Redbox7 drinking champagne and enjoying the glamour of Melbourne races.
Here a sneak peak at one of the new Sarah Conners clutches. This one isn't actually available until February - that's the perk of having my desk so close to the sample cupboard.
Here is Deborah, looking amazing in a Redbox7 dress and I enjoying the day. I have to thank Serena Lindeman for my stunning hat, she pulled this together after only looking at my dress for a second and declaring "I know exactly what you need"....and she did.

The wash up at the end of the day, an empty champagne glass and lots of betting slips, none of them winners. Thanks again everyone for such a great day of racing.

With Oaks Day tomorrow I have been looking for Millinery inspiration and discovered the gorgeous work of English milliner Zara Gorman

I first discovered her work at Teacups and Couture a blog that posts some of the most amazing and quirky fashion finds.

Fluke Store - Summer Romp

The Australian dollar being pretty much on par with the US dollar has given me the perfect excuse to do some online vintage shopping....

I've discovered the perfect summer romper for only $20 at Fluke Store. I can see this teamed with the Sarah Conners Jeannie in tan.
