Fancy That - Ambuji

Intellectual, Challenging and funny, reading Ambuji is a thrill. Ambu's blog wanders through fashion, art, food and travel and manges to weave them all together with beautiful images, commentary and a very personal view of the world. The post on the horror of the Gym is one of my favourites and sits perfectly with other post about the way women view and use their bodies and the economics of luxury brands.

The post that this image is taken from a really simple, beautiful and sensitive post called "Soul Mates"

Fancy That - Lee Oliveira

Here at Sarah Conners we are big readers of blogs, we love them. So over the next few I am going to be sharing some our favourites with you. The first one I want to share is Lee Oliveira and his blog Street Style.

This an old one of Lee's shots but one I really love the feel, it captures what street photography is all about for me. Spontaneity, joy and individuality.

In fact I am such a fan of Lee's work that we dragged him all the way from sunny Sydney to Melbourne to do a special project with us (more about that in October). Amazingly Lee posts nearly everyday - you might need to subscribe just to keep up with him - he is a man that loves style in all its guises.

Model Bloggers

We have been having a very busy time here at Sarah Conners.  Over Easter we worked with gorgeous Sydney photographer Lee Oliveira on the campaign for our Summer 2012 range, I have some amazing images of the new bags from the shoot but am keeping them to myself until the big launch. What I too excited not to share is that we used Melbourne bloggers Bianca from iletaitunefois.com.au, Jasmin from friendinfashion.blogspot.com and Jess from whatwouldkarldo.com as our models and above is a sneak peak of how the girls looked on the day as we dragged cameras and handbags around Melbourne.

Lee, Bianca, Jasmin and Jess were a great team to work. Everyone was so creative and excited to be part of the shoot. Thankyou everyone!

NZGirl - A handbag worth hanging on to

Great web site nzgirl just featured our Splash Knot handbag in their "Handbags worth hanging on to" post. The Splash Knot has been my favourite all season, I've worn it to death!

Also featured on the post were these amazing little ila Dusk handbag alarms, they look like handbag charms but when you need a little help you pull the chain and they emit an ear piercing female scream. There is a chance for you to win one of these alarms from nzgirl here.

A joy that will be missed

I seem to be a bit behind the news, as usual. I've just been catching up on few favourite blogs and just learnt from Maggie Alderson's that she will no longer have a column in The Age on a Saturday. I will miss her weekend hit of wit, humour and passion.

Though I have to warn you after reading about ourselves we flicked through the rest of the blog and are now in love with the Kate Stokes Coco Flip lamps....this site could become very addictive.
