This one from Anna Calvi is perfect for singing along to on a Friday afternoon, this is exactly what I imagine I sound like when I sing. Though now we have listened to this for a while I think it might very soon be time to find a cozy little wine bar and wile away the night.  

Fancy That - Ambuji

Intellectual, Challenging and funny, reading Ambuji is a thrill. Ambu's blog wanders through fashion, art, food and travel and manges to weave them all together with beautiful images, commentary and a very personal view of the world. The post on the horror of the Gym is one of my favourites and sits perfectly with other post about the way women view and use their bodies and the economics of luxury brands.

Thrifty Tips

We were included in the Herald Sun on the weekend with lots of other designers sharing our favourite thrifty and stylish tips. This was actually a table setting that I put together for a birthday lunch back in February when the roses in my garden were beautiful.

As my Mother pointed out heading all the way to China to get paper bags isn't so thrifty! Good point, but I was already there for work a couple of years ago...I am fan of hanging on to beautiful and quirky things, they always come in handy sooner or later.

Friday Afternoon Music - Adele

This afternoon in the shop, did I mention we have a shop?, we are listening to Adele courtesy of the lovely Annie from Habbot Studios. I think I may be the only person in the world to have missed the Adele phenomenon but I am making up for it now. Helped along with a glass of champagne this is shaping up to be quite a gorgeous Friday afternoon.

Pop Up Mania

Our latest venture is up and running! Our first ever (pop up) shop and major clearance is happening and while I had forgotten what hard work retail is it has been great to meet our customers. Here's a preview of some of the styles we are selling and a shot of me working out how to use the eftpos machine.

Our First Big Sale

We are having our first big sale at Sarah Conners, starting this Friday we will be selling off a few years worth of samples as well as our current winter stock.
